Who is PEF Division 357?

PEF Division 357 represents Professional, Scientific, & Technical (PS&T) employees at the NYS Office of Information Technology Services (NYS ITS).  We are a division of the Public Employees Federation (PEF) union.

The site is not an official resource of PEF.  It is an unofficial resource for and maintained by Division 357 members.  Questions may be directed to the Division 357 Council Leader or the Communications Committee.  The Communications Committee is tasked with maintaining this site.

Representation

Stewards in the Division can assist employees with getting help in the following areas.  We work with local, regional, and statewide resources.  We are your first point of contact at the work site or where needed.  Many times, we can resolve an issue before escalation is required.  We can speak with supervisors/managers on your behalf.  Through the Labor-Management Committee we can address many issues directly with human resources at the agency.  However, if it is needed, we will work with a variety of PEF offices and committees to escalate your concerns.

Information

The Division seeks to keep its members informed on their rights and resources available through the PEF Contract as well as related federal, state, and local policies.  To that end, the Division maintains several avenues of support.  These include this Portal, social media, email, work site bulletin boards, events/activities, and more.

Volunteer

It all begins with an idea. There are opportunities for everyone to participate. Become active by engaging other members at your site, walking in a parade, distributing information, updating bulletin boards in your building, and more. And if you catch the union spirit, consider running for a steward position. It is great experience and can help build your career beyond your standard state duties.
